PLUS 2.6 Location Software
The PLUS Location Software Version 2.6 maintenance release is now available. The 2.6 release includes new features providing system health monitoring of the Reader network and providing data filtering control for Tag positions provided by the API. This release also includes some bug fixes that improve system usability.
We recommend that all customers using a previous release of the PLUS Location Software should upgrade to release 2.6. For assistance on upgrading to the 2.6 version, please contact Time Domain at +1.256.922.9229 or support@timedomain.com.
The 2.6 release maintains the following features that were introduced with the previous feature release, version 2.5:
Precision 2D Applications Using Multiple SDPs
The Location Software can now be configured to produce solutions from Readers connected to different SDPs. This allows the tracking area to bridge the gap between non-synchronized groups of Readers in large installations.
2-Tag Association to a Single Asset or Person
If two Tags are placed on a person or asset, the Tags can be linked such that a single position report is reported. This can help overcome signal blockage limitations, allowing accurate positioning without adding Readers to the PLUS network.
Windows and Linux Standalone Solver Services
The PLUS Location Software is now available as a standalone service in addition to the previously available Windows OCX. Third party applications can receive location data from the service via a TCP connection. Supported operating systems are Windows XP, Windows Vista, Linux Ubuntu, and Linux Red Hat.
Tag Classes
Tags can now be assigned to classes and certain parameters, such as filter settings, can be set independently for each class. This provides a convenient way of configuring separate settings for Tags on assets and people, for example.
