Support for the P400
Time Domain is committed to your success. The more successful you are with integrating the P400 OEM module into your application, the more successful we will be. To that end, Time Domain is prepared to offer as much or as little support as you feel you need. This support falls into three levels.
Support Level 1: Many users will find that our basic level of support is sufficient. This support includes the API, data sheets, user guides, application notes, sample code, periodic updates and engineering support hours associated with the purchase of the Development Kit.
Support Level 2: Others find that they have an ongoing need for occasional support. In this case, it might be useful to consider purchasing one or more Technical Support Blocks. These Blocks are available in 10 hour or 25 hour increments and feature support from a senior UWB engineer well experienced with RF signal propagation, operation of the P400 hardware, integration with the API software, performance parameter tradeoffs, as well as networking of multiple modules in different applications.
Support Level 3: Some have found it useful to take advantage of Time Domain's UWB expertise to jump start their project.
"Time Domain's UWB radios are a valuable tool for the Wireless Control Networks Research Lab at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. We have used the radios to develop a prototype tracking system that has been used in Department of Defense robotics programs to track soldiers and vehicles at ranges up to 100 meters. We have used Time Domain's radios to make contributions in the study of UWB channel models for low data rate outdoor UWB systems. The outstanding technical support provided by Time Domain is an important part of our success."
- Paul Richardson, Ph.D., University of Michigan-Dearborn
Over the last 20 years, Time Domain has acquired almost one million man-hours of experience with UWB hardware, systems, and applications. This spans all aspects of the technology including:
- Propagation analysis and RF link budget development
- Mixed signal and fully custom ASIC design
- FPGA coding
- Board design/layout/construction/assembly/test
- System analysis and testing
- Packaging
- Domestic and off shore production
- Regulatory guidance and testing (FCC and international)
- Algorithm development
- Antenna design
- Integration with other hardware
- Ranging optimization
- Ranging with different techniques including Angle of Arrival (AOA) and Time Difference of Arrival (TDOA)
- Operation in a wide variety of applications
The bottom line question then becomes... Can you leverage this experience base to jump start your project to produce the best design solution, which gets to market faster and contributes to your bottom line?
In any event, Time Domain is ready to help. We are always available to discuss how we might be of assistance.
