Time Domain Launches Channel Reseller Program for its PLUS™ Ultra-Wideband Real-Time Location System (RTLS)

Company Partnering with Key Resellers to Bring New Level of Ultra-wideband RTLS Precision to Healthcare Market

Huntsville, Alabama -- November 13, 2007 -- Time Domain Corporation (www.timedomain.com) today unveiled a new channel program for value added resellers (VARs) who want to deploy highly accurate real-time location solutions using ultra-wideband With Time Domain’s PLUS™ real-time location system (RTLS), VARs can now offer solutions providing a new level of precision; PLUS™ tags can be located as close as 12-inches, even through multiple walls. Using UWB, thousands of PLUS™ tags are identified in real-time, providing the first precise, high-volume product platform in the active RTLS space. Focusing on the location and interaction of people and assets, Time Domain’s new PLUS™ product line will initially target the healthcare industry.

Wireless and other RTLS approaches are being trialed in multiple hospital settings for patient security and equipment tracking and utilization applications. Until now, these systems have been limited to, at best, room-only “last read” monitoring which tracks patients and equipment when they leave or enter a room. The Time Domain PLUS™ platform of ultra- wideband active tags, readers, ceiling-tile antennas, synchronization distribution panels, and software solves the problem of linking multiple healthcare providers, patients and equipment in a single room into a real-time, integrated patient safety, billing and equipment monitoring solution.

With that type of location accuracy, our VARs can now solve business problems that increase productivity, improve safety, and secure facilities.” According to IDTechEx, the RTLS segment of the active RFID market is projected to grow at a 50% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) through 2011, when the total RTLS market is projected to be $1.7B.
