PLUS EU Tags

The PLUS EU Vertical and Horizontal Tags are part of the PLUS Real Time Location System (RTLS) and are specifically designed for use in the 27 countries of the European Union (EU).  The EU tags include both transmit and receive functionality using UWB at 7.3 GHz for transmission and 2.4 GHz for back-channel reception.  The tags allow dynamic configuration of the update rate (ranging from 1 to 10 Hz) and the mode of operation (e.g. active or idle mode), and support replacement of the battery.  The EU vertical tag radiates from both the front and back sides of the tag, and the EU horizontal tag radiates from the top only.  Both tags provide IP64 ingress protection against dust and liquids and have a customizable overlay.

For installation, the tags can be mounted using the PLUS Tag Mounting Bracket or the integral screw mounting holes.  The EU vertical tag also can be worn on a lanyard for personnel tracking.  To conserve battery life in the tags, the tag update rate and mode of operation can be dynamically changed to respond to changes in tracking or use.  The EU tags also transmit status of their battery in each transmitted packet.
